Our Approach

Our acupuncture is rooted in classical Chinese medicine, with training in assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Alongside needling, we may use complementary methods — moxibustion, cupping, tuina and nutritional counselling — to make each treatment as complete as possible. SAAM (Korean four-needle) acupuncture is built on the five elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. It's designed to address physical, mental and emotional health together, and treats the root pattern rather than chasing individual symptoms. Japanese-style acupuncture uses very fine needles and shallow insertion. Many people who are needle-averse or highly sensitive find it far more comfortable than they expected. We work within a trauma-informed model, in close collaboration with our psychotherapy, osteopathy and bodywork practitioners.
